Reading Terminal Market

A Common Canvas for the City

Spring 2018: The Reading Terminal Market management team asked my CED Development Practicum group to develop a public space improvement plan. Developing the plan involved surveying 22 vendors and 250 customers, undertaking a seating inventory, and making a map of the market. We strived to develop simple yet impactful recommendations that enhance the Market’s strengths and are easy to implement.

CCD Housing Report

Spring 2018: What’s in the pipeline? Are demand and supply in sync? Who is moving here, and where are they living? How does Center City compare to other downtowns? Center City District's Housing Development in Perspective: 2018 looks at the answers to these questions and offers up some solutions to challenges still facing Philadelphia's residential market.

Realigning Incentives to Promote Equitable Development

Winter 2018: "High and Low" is an analysis of Philadelphia's ten-year tax abatement. The purpose of the report is to provide a foundation for new policy initiatives that will stimulate investment and development in Philadelphia while stabilizing and expanding the city's affordable housing base. The report was a product of John Kromer's Politics of Housing and Urban Development class

Oak Park Integration Story

A Spatial Policy Analysis

Fall 2017: The Oak Park Integration Story was a final paper and website for Prof. Lisa Servon's Introduction to Community Economic Development class. I used GIS to track the racial makeup of the Chicago suburb over time for my final Introduction to GIS assignment for Prof. Amy Hillier.  The paper was selected for publication in the 2017 edition of the University of Pennsylvania City Planning Journal - Panorama.
